Can you treat termites in an existing home without damaging tiles?

Yes, with minimal damage. Technicians can drill through grout lines, use baits that need no drilling, and seal any holes afterward.

Small holes are sometimes needed. What matters is where they go and how they are repaired. Ask before work starts.

How does the drill-and-inject method work?

Small holes are drilled along walls, floor edges and cracks, and liquid termiticide is injected to build a protective barrier in the soil and voids.

The holes are then sealed. The goal is to reach the soil under the slab, where termites enter.

Is liquid termiticide or a baiting system better?

Neither wins every time. Liquid gives a fast barrier. Baits are slower but less disruptive and target the colony. Many homes need both.

The right choice depends on your floor type, access, how active the termites are and who lives there. Be wary of any company that sells one option for every house.

How long do post-construction termite treatments last?

Typically a few years, often three to five depending on the product and warranty, and only if the barrier stays undisturbed.

No treatment is forever. Get the warranty terms in writing and book a yearly inspection.
